"Lawnchair" is an evocative, tactile music video created for musician Clovis Heald that beautifully mirrors the ambient and melancholy tones of the track. The visual narrative relies entirely on analog textures, blending original footage that I shot directly on a VHS camcorder with unique multimedia experiments. To enhance the dreamlike, nostalgic mood of the music, I projected various pieces of found footage onto physical surfaces and refilmed the results, integrating those layered, distorted projections back into the final edit. This creative process allowed the video to explore themes of memory, decay, and isolation, matching the slow-burning emotional weight of the song. By merging organic low-fidelity videography with these tactile projection techniques, the project stands as a rich, atmospheric exploration of multimedia texture and experimental visual editing.
